Disciplin A Kitschme is a band that revolutionised the sound of urban music in Serbia, Yugoslavia and elsewhere, and taught the Belgrade new wave a lesson in funk, soul, jazz and humour. It is one of the most progressive and, as far as sound goes, uncompromising groups from the former Yugoslavia. This is partly thanks to its frontman Koja, who largely influenced the sound of new wave and rock of the early 1980’s, the 1990’s’ and of today. No doubt you still remember songs like “Čudna šuma”, “Zašto”, “Buka u modi”, “Tata mama” and “Svi za mnom”. The current line-up of Disciplin A Kitschme has both the experience of the old Disciplina and a new energy, which it passes on to crowds at its concerts, regardless of what language they perform in.
